What is the Pi-K?
The Pi-K is a unique race held on Pi Day (March 14, 2025), blending running, competition, and, of course, pie at the finish line.
How long is the Pi-K?
The race distance is 3.14159 miles in honor of the mathematical symbol π (Pi).
Where and when is the race?
The race will be held in Central Park in New York City, New York on March 14, 2025. The race starts at 6:28PM (2 π). The race location and course map will be emailed out to all participants after signing up.
Who can participate?
The Pi-K is open to all ages and abilities. Whether you’re an experienced runner or just in it for the pie, we welcome you!
Will there be water stops?
Given the short distance, there will not be water stops. But we will have water for all participants at the beginning and end of the race.
Can I walk the Pi-K?
Absolutely! Whether you run, jog, or walk, everyone is welcome to participate.
Are strollers and/or dogs allowed?
Yes, all we ask that you start at the back for safety reasons.
Do all finishers get pie?
Of course! Pie is for everyone. You can’t have a Pi-K without pie at the finish line.
How do I register and what is included?
You can register online click sign up at the top of this page. Your registration includes: Entry to the Pi-K race, a slice of pie at the finish line, and a race bib.
When is packet pickup?
Race bibs will be given out on race day between 5:00PM and 6:15PM
Is there race-day registration?
If available, race-day registration will be limited and will cost $31.41 . We recommend registering in advance! Use code SLICE2025 to secure a discount prior to the race with an online sign up.
What can I win?
Yes! The top three overall finishers – medals and bragging rights.
What kind of pie will be available?
Pie availability may vary, but come hungry!
Is there a rain date?
The Pi-K is a rain-or-shine event, and as such, no refunds will be given for inclement weather.
How can I volunteer?

Can I dress up?
We would love to see you show up in a Pi Day inspired outfit whether that’s dressed as a slice of your favorite pie, maybe even dressed like a pizza pie or wearing something in reference to Pi.
